10 year old Sayeda
Sayeda. that’s my name. it’s always been my name. i just clicked the button “publish” for my first book. it’s hitting me slowly, that i’m finally doing what i’ve wanted to do. I do this for her.
10 year old Sayeda was quiet, she read books and envisioned herself in those books. she read books about people not like her. she read books about worlds different than hers. this was our first step together, I smiled at her through the mirror and she smiled back. we locked hands, interlacing our fingers, and hit publish together. we wrote this book together. healing her and myself while we did. 10 year old Sayeda should’ve been loved and cared for the way every 10 year old should be, but the past is the past, we’re taking care of her now though. I love you bachem.
